Registration Forms for International Customers

To set up registration forms in the CloudSuite App, go to Stores > Registration Forms.

For international customers the registration form has been refactored; all new customers will be using the new form and features immediately. For existing customers, some additional work must be done.

  • Make sure that LOCALIZED_REGISTRATION_FORM = False is not defined in the localconf. The default is True, so if LOCALIZED_REGISTRATION_FORM doesn't exist in the localconf, it is enabled.
  • Make sure that all countries to which will be delivered are configured well; check the country format.
  • Registration form fields can now be translated; so 1 form can be used in multiple languages and shops. This means that the registration forms of the shop should be checked to see if some can be deleted and others shared between shops and languages.
  • Registration forms need the country field on the address fields and delivery fields, or they will not work.
  • When using the business user in the registration form, make sure that there is also a company name field in the company fields of the registration form.
  • All fields that are configured in the address format in the country format will overrule the validation that is configured in the registration form. So if you set street1 to be required in the registration form but street1 is not required in the country format, it will be not required since the country format takes precedence.

Troubleshooting

Not all allowed countries are visible in the drop-down in the registration form.
This can happen if for some countries, no shipment costs are set.
The Zip Code autocomplete does not work.

To fix the problem of the Zip Code autocomplete not working, make sure that CloudSuite can generate the data:

  1. in the CloudSuite App, go to Stores > Shops and open the shop.
  2. Go to the Processes tab and click Rebuild Zipcode.
  3. This will take at most a couple of minutes. After that, you're good to go!
