Sitemap

CloudSuite offers a daily update of the XML sitemap. This file can be used by search engines for indexing your webshop and it is very important for SEO. It can always be found at {domainurl/sitemap.xml} or {domainurl/<languagecode>/sitemap.xml}.

All URLs of the website are listed in the XML sitemap, making it easier for a search engine to index all relevant pages of the website. As the administrator of your site, you can submit the XML sitemap in, for example, Google Search Console.

The sitemap includes so-called hreflang entries that tell search engines that the same content is available in multiple languages and for multiple regions. These lines are automatically added to the sitemap using both language and country codes when applicable (for example nl-BE or fr-BE). This helps search engines understand which regional version of each page should be indexed and displayed.

Other sitemap configurations are: validation against the robots.txt file and determining if tree or brand data should be included in the URLs.
